Impact that goes beyond products
i-did works with people who have been distanced from the labour market for a long time and supports them in building their self-confidence and skills to actively participate in society again. Through coaching, structure and meaningful work, i-did helps them take steps towards sustainable employment. It is incredibly effective: approximately 80% of participants move on to jobs outside i-did.
What sets i-did apart is their ability to connect commercial needs with real change. The felt used in this collection is made from, among other things, former uniforms from a major Dutch airline and the army. In addition, carefully sorted post-consumer textiles are mixed to create beautiful and unique felt colours. The result: less environmental impact and more social value.
Every year, i-did recycles tonnes of textiles, and the quantities continue to grow. This saves i-did at least 90 million litres of water annually, which is donated to clean drinking water projects through Made Blue.
We are proud of our collaboration with i-did and of the fact that we can bring their story, and their materials, to the attention of a wider audience. Let's make an impact together!
i-did x Eijffinger
This collection features felt made from recycled textiles, the composition of which may vary. The acoustic values* provided should therefore be treated as a guideline only.
Acoustic performance (ISO 11654):
- Sound absorption: αw 0.6 (with a tolerance of ± 0.05) – absorbs approximately 60% of sound
- Class C: good acoustic damping
* The acoustic performance was measured when used as wallcovering, in a setup that approximates a commonly used situation in interiors. The final effect may vary depending on the surface and application, and may differ from room to room.
